Every year approximately 65,000 students graduate from high schools from
across the nation, but are unable to pursue a higher education because of
their immigration status. With the hard work of various organizations and
students, there has been an effort to bring awareness for these student. In
an effort to bring a face and feelings to the issue and students, we have
helped to bring a movie titled ?Papers: the Movie?. The movie was filmed and
produced here in Portland, Oregon. It follows 5 students from diverse
backgrounds, and the struggles and choices that they are faced with, in not
having ?papers?.



?Papers: the Movie? Screening

Where: LaSells Stewart Center-Austin Auditorium

When: Monday, February 8, 2010

Time: 6pm-9pm The movie is approximately 90 minutes long. There will be a
discussion following the viewing that we encourage everyone to participate
but not mandatory.
