HENAN CHINESE OPERA COMPANY WILL PERFORM IN SALEM AND CORVALLIS*
As an early kick-off to the February 3 Chinese New Year, the Henan Chinese
Opera Company, a group of 40 performers, will bring “Chinese Orphan,” a
large-scale Henan Opera with full staging and traditional, ancient costumes,
to the mid-Willamette Valley for two performances. These unique
opportunities to experience very authentic Chinese cultural traditions will
take place on Thursday, January 27 at 7 p.m. at the Elsinore Theater, 170
High Street SE, Salem, and on* Friday, January 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the
LaSells Stewart Center, 875 SW 26 Street, Corvallis.*
Free admission tickets are needed for the Salem performance. They are
available at the Elsinore Theater.* Tickets are not necessary for the
Corvallis performance. Seating is first-come, first served. Doors will open
at 7 p.m.*
