Dear fellow Chinese students,
I just read all the e-mails regarding the article today in the Daily Barometer.
I have to say I am impressed with everyone’s maturity and thoughtfulness. I am
very proud of our Chinese community.
We all know that the views Ms. Montgomery carries represent a big percentage of
American society. From the difference in political systems to the bitter
history during the past few decades between the two countries, it is not hard
to trace where the bias comes from. As China developing in such such fast pace,
it is fair to say that the America feels threatened. I actually had a class with
Montgomery, and just today the class was showing a video about the Dalai Lama.
And of course the old footage only captured moments that the Chinese army
hurting the local people, but not the other way around. From someone who is
studying the media, I know this is not the only case.
I would like to invite you to take advantage of the free speech right and
