Hi fellows,
How is this term going on? Since this is the dead week of winter term, I wish everybody would have good lucks on your finals.
As you might already know, or not, last winter is extremely cold for some people back at China, who suffered a centennially severe snow storm. Maybe your hometown, family or friends were one of those who experienced that terrible time. To fight against the nature and to protect those that they beloved, lots of people put others’ life on top of their own. More than 100 people were dead because of this severe snow storm and a loss of $15 Billion as the China Daily reported. 21 provincial-level areas had been affected, with Hunan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Anhui, Hubei, Zhejiang and Sichuan provinces and the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region the worst hit. Some of them lost their home, some lost their crops while some lost their families. Although the snow storm stopped, the people who suffered might still suffer. The most important thing now is to help them reconstruct their own homeland, is to help them recover from the snow storm. There are more details in the
following link.

China is becoming more and more stronger not because we are becoming richer and richer individually, but we are united together more and more tightly, no matter where we are and which nationality we have, since we all have the same blood in vein. Even though we are thousands of miles away, we can also show our care and regard to those who needs the help. I hope all the students, faculties and residence here could give a hand to help them out of this terrible disaster.
So on the behave of Chinese Association of OSU, I announce that we are having the Snow Storm Recovery Funds launched and going to start accepting donations. It doesn’t matter how much you will donate, but it really matters if you do donate.
